Beyond Vision, a drone maker based in Lisbon, has raised over €28 million in a round co-led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital, with follow-on investment from ActiveCap. The company will use the funds to scale industrial production and develop AI and swarm technology. It also plans to expand internationally in defence and critical infrastructure markets.

Beyond Vision makes unmanned aerial vehicles, commonly known as drones, along with the AI software and cloud platforms used to control them. Founded in 2013, the company builds systems for both civilian and military customers and is a registered NATO supplier. Its products include beXStream, a cloud-based platform for remote drone control and fleet management.

The company says its aircraft combine multiple built-in communication systems with AI tools, which allows them to be adapted for infrastructure monitoring, security and defence operations. Beyond Vision is led by chief executive Dário Pedro and chairman Luís Miguel Campos.

Beyond Vision raised over €28 million, according to the company’s announcement reported by EU-Startups. The round was co-led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital, with a follow-on investment from ActiveCap, which has been a shareholder in the company since 2024.

Beyond Vision said the capital will go towards scaling its industrial production capacity and accelerating research and development in AI and drone swarm technology. It also plans to expand its commercial presence internationally in defence, security and critical infrastructure markets.

Stephan de Moraes, Managing General Partner of Índico Capital Partners, said: “In critical sectors such as defence, infrastructure management, and security, the reliance on technology that is reliable, sovereign, and highly advanced is now a strategic priority for many countries. Beyond Vision has redefined this market by combining high-precision hardware with advanced artificial intelligence algorithms at a very competitive cost.
