We bridge the gap between the lab and commercial revenue - websites, film and photography for deep tech companies that need the market to understand them.
Commercial narratives for deep tech.
who we work withBrilliant technology. Invisible story.
Commotion Labs is a commercial studio for deep tech. We work with post-seed and scale-up companies across robotics, quantum, engineering and biotech, and with the investors and incubators who fund them.
Most deep tech companies sell to a small market, a few dozen buyers who already know they have the problem. Winning them has little to do with traditional marketing. It comes down to what a named buyer finds when they look you up, how clearly they understand your offering, and what that person can show the rest of the buying committee after that first meeting.
A strong story and a clear product identity help de-risk the go-to-market phase. Buyers arrive already understanding what you’ve built, and every conversation starts further along.

about usWhy we started commotion labs
Commotion Labs exists because of a pattern we kept seeing: brilliant companies working on cleaner energy, better food production and new materials, with nobody properly set up to help them sell it.
So we built the studio offering what we couldn’t find: narrative, brand, website, film and campaigns in one team, at fixed prices, instead of retainers, for the companies trying to leave the world better than they found it.

Working with Commotion Labs has been a really smooth process. They completely re-built our website and came to our Lab and updated our photography and we’ve had loads of great feedback and conversations since. It’s also helped us collect loads of feedback and insight from different industries. As we commercialise it feels like we now have a website that matches our product and company growth goals. Sam and his team are hands on and have made sure everything is how we wanted it.Molly Allington, CEO, Albotherm
