Branding

The problem it solves

Service: Branding  ·  Best for: post-seed companies heading into commercial conversations  ·  Includes: visual identity, guidelines, templates, rollout  ·  Tags: Identity / Guidelines

Most deep tech companies get their first brand by accident. A logo made quickly around the first funding round, a deck template someone built late at night, colours that drift a little over time. None of it mattered while the focus was R&D.

It starts to matter when enterprise buyers arrive. They’re being asked to bet on a young company, so they look for reasons to worry, and an identity that changes between the website, the deck and the trade stand gives them one. It’s the kind of doubt nobody raises in the meeting.

The fix is a working identity: one that looks credible next to the science, stays consistent everywhere it appears, and can be applied correctly by whoever makes the next document.

What’s included

  • Visual identity: logo, colour and type, designed to reflect your commercial value and quality of your technology
  • Brand guidelines sized for an early-stage company, short enough that people actually follow them
  • Templates for the documents you produce most: decks, one-pagers, reports
  • Rollout across your existing assets.

We start from what you have, because there’s usually something worth keeping and a full teardown wastes money. The guidelines run to a handful of pages on purpose; a fifty-page brand book often gets ignored, we keep it succinct and purposeful.

If your identity is already consistent and buyers take you seriously, you don’t need this as a standalone project. Most clients take branding as part of a website build, and we’ll give you our honest opinion on a call.

Good branding can separate you from your competitors, helping you stand out, stay memorable and keep a consistency to your digital presence.Sam Stratton, founder

how it worksWhat you get

A one-off project with everything handed over at the end:

01. An identity you own outright, source files and guidelines included

Everything is handed over at the end of the project — a one-off piece of work, not a retainer.

The guidelines are short enough that people actually follow them, so the identity holds without enforcement.

Templates for the documents you produce most: decks, one-pagers and reports.

Branding, website and film share one identity from the start, so nothing gets rebuilt later.
